Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description

Operating from Crooks, SD, you'll serve as an OTR solo CDL-A driver for HMD Trucking, handling dry van freight across national lanes. The role requires dependable performance, careful load handling, and consistent compliance with DOT and company safety policies.

Key responsibilities:

• Complete detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report defects, and utilize in-house maintenance support.
• Secure loads properly, adhere to HOS and safety protocols, and maintain proactive communication with dispatch.
• Accurately manage ELDs and delivery documentation for each run.

Compensation & requirements: Pay begins at 65¢/mile with weekly averages near 2,500 miles. Equipment is modern with APUs/inverters/sleepers, plus safety bonuses, biweekly home time, and comprehensive benefits. CDL-A license and minimum 12 months verifiable experience required.
