THE ROLE

Joining our team provides opportunities to share your voice and talents, tackle challenging problems, create solutions and collaborate with dedicated co-workers. This Co-op experience provides participants with a meaningful, relevant work experience as part of their academic studies. In addition to daily responsibilities, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a series of structured activities designed to enhance their learning experience including:

• Senior Leadership Speaker Series

• Social & Networking Events

• Presentation Challenges

At the conclusion of this position, co-ops will have increased their knowledge of investing, the mutual fund industry, brand strategy & management, and developed a firm understanding of how brand and marketing work at an asset manager.

MFS co-op positions are a 6-month commitment, working Monday – Friday (beginning on Wednesday, January 13th through Friday June 25th, 2027), and work between 35-40 hours. Our program is designed for undergraduate students who are currently enrolled in a co-op program through their college or university and can meet our requirements.

About the Strategy & Insights Group (SAIG)

As a global investment management firm, MFS is in a unique position to provide global views and insights to our clients based not only on our experience in investing assets around the world, but also from having long-term partnerships with clients of all types and backgrounds. SAIG’s primary role is to work with clients to develop solutions to address their unique needs and inquiries, provide thought leadership, research and insights on topics ranging from capital markets, asset allocation, client and industry trends, to thematic and bottom-up investment perspectives. In addition to the research conducted within the team, the group works side-by-side with our investment teams across the world to bring MFS's best thinking to our clients. Below is the specific SAIG function hiring for the this co-op role:

Corp Comms & Brand

The Corporate Communications & Brand team helps shape how MFS shows up with clients, employees and the broader market. The team is responsible for strengthening and protecting the firm’s reputation through clear messaging, internal and external communications, brand strategy, content development and storytelling. Working closely with partners across marketing, distribution, investments, human resources and executive leadership, the team helps ensure communications are consistent, compelling and aligned with the firm’s purpose, values and long-term business priorities.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Assist the VP of Brand Strategy & Governance in creating presentations, developing communications and strategies to enhance the MFS brand.

• Work with subject matter experts on projects which include data analysis and visualization

• Excellent problem solving and organizational skills, along with attention to detail

• A willingness to work hard and the ability to effectively communicate in a collaborative manner is essential

• Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to critical and creative thinking

• Ability to multitask and complete tasks & projects in a timely manner

• Experience working in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Hourly Pay Rate: $21.00-$25.00
