Offer physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends to help them understand conditions, medications, and self‑care skills. Review physician prescriptions, communicate the nursing care plan, and coordinate with other healthcare providers. Document patient physical condition, psychological status, and influencing social factors; develop and revise care plans as needed. Instruct patients, families, and friends in understanding conditions, medications, and self‑care practices. Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes, and adjusting care plans accordingly. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment by following infection‑control policies, medication administration protocols, and controlled substance regulations. Ensure patient care equipment operates properly and supplies are maintained. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, and demonstrate visual acuity as required to perform job functions.
