The Cohesive Family Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our remote telehealth team in Long Beach, California. Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to deliver therapeutic services from the comfort of your own home while also reaching clients in various locations throughout California via telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Engage directly with clients experiencing major mental illness or severe emotional disorders, providing therapy sessions through video conferencing and digital communication methods.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to set and achieve client-centered goals, demonstrating a commitment to mutual support within the organization.
• Respectfully engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds, recognizing and valuing various cultural perspectives and belief systems in your therapeutic approach.
• Adhere to professional ethical guidelines and organizational protocols, maintaining compliance with internal and external systems, while striving for the highest standards of care.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop evidence-based care plans that integrate clients' healthcare needs with available resources.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, including progress notes and treatment evaluations, to ensure continuity of care and compliance.
• Provide crisis intervention, as needed, effectively managing and de-escalating high-risk situations to safeguard clients and facilitate their safety.
• Carry a caseload that includes individual, group, and family therapy, tailoring interventions based on client needs and preferences.
• Monitor and support clients throughout their treatment journey, from admission through discharge, ensuring they receive appropriate and timely services.
• Contribute to agency service improvement by participating in quality assurance committees and feedback initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with clients who are historically underserved and face barriers to accessing traditional mental health care. Your patients may include individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, or other socio-economic challenges. This position requires a strong commitment to understanding and addressing the unique needs of these populations and fostering empowerment through therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California is mandatory.
• Expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for diverse populations experiencing mental health issues.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in presenting complex information clearly and effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
• Competence in addressing age-specific or culturally unique issues for each demographic served.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a community mental health context.
• Bilingual skills, particularly in English and Spanish, are highly desirable, as they enhance our capacity to serve a broader client base.
