Financial Planning Analyst

This position works closely with departments units in creating and monitoring operating budgets for achieving organizational objectives. Makes recommendations to create, design and implement financial analysis to support in the decision-making process. Prepare dashboard designs and other similar tools for day-to-day business metrics monitoring. Essential Functions: Analyzes current and past financial data and performance. Prepares reports and projections based on analysis. Creates predictive financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision-making. Prepares and develops presentations for senior management. Coordinates with other departments to review/analyze financial information and forecasts. Assembles/summarizes data to structure sophisticated reports/dashboards. Prepares, updates, and analyzes the financial business plan model of the company. Provides creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance. Analyzes industry-specific research and available data to predict trends. Prepares and develops the budget/forecasting process of the company. Communicates with departments to analyze KPIs and relevant data. To create, automate dashboards and reports to help each department with the decision-making process. Participates in meetings and orientations. Execute any other duties assigned by the Supervisor. Qualification Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in finance from an accredited university. The position requires three (3) years of related experience. Skill in analyzing situations accurately and taking effective action. Skill in exercising judgment and discretion in developing, applying, interpreting, and coordinating policies and procedures. Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with customers and internal departments. Ability to work under pressure and in a deadline-oriented operation. Language skills in Spanish and English. Ability to read and understand instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write complex correspondence and make complex presentations of information, effectively, an individual or small groups of customers and other employees of the organization. Work with mathematical concepts such as probability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals skills. Ability to compute rates, proportions and percentages, and draw and interpret complex graphs. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Proficient with office equipment, computers, calculators, photocopy and fax machine and phone. Ability to deal with problems involving some variable in common situations. Proven proficiency in spreadsheets, databases and financial software application used by the finance department. Excellent reporting, presenting and communication skills. Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. Ability to work with large datasets. Strategic thinking and organizational skills.
