Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Location Battle Creek, MI | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Up to 26 Weeks | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical units, with exposure to ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, and surgical patient populations including GI, urology, and oncology cases Maintain a staffing ratio of 1:5–6 patients on nights; ratios may flex to 7–8 with LPN support as needed Float to other Med Surg units based on census and staffing needs, typically approximately once per week Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and Techs Adhere to every-other-weekend scheduling requirements Complete required orientation during the first two weeks of assignment Required Qualifications Active Michigan RN License required BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required ; pending certification accepted with confirmed intent to obtain Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required Must be available for the first 2 weeks of assignment for orientation Willingness to float to other Med Surg units and work with a variety of clinical staff Block scheduling is not available at this time Locals are welcome and accepted Preferred Experience / Skills 2 or more years of Med/Surg experience preferred Experience working with ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, or surgical patient populations Flexibility with scheduling, including 36- or 48-hour week options Why Join Us Opportunity for an extended contract of up to 26 weeks with exposure to a diverse Med Surg patient population Supportive team environment with LPN assistance during higher patient ratio situations Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 790194.
