Cardiac Catheterization Specialist

This position follows a Day 5x8-Hour schedule from 07:00 to 17:00.

The Cardiac Catheterization Specialist is responsible for assessing patients' medical histories and current conditions to prepare them for cardiac catheterization procedures. This role involves preparing specialized equipment and monitoring patients during procedures, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes while maintaining a sterile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' medical history and current condition.
• Prepare specialized equipment for procedures.
• Monitor patients during procedures.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and universal precautions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support smooth and successful procedures.
• Provide patient education and support before, during, and after procedures.
• Engage in ongoing education and mentorship to promote professional growth.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Graduate from a program in Radiology Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Cardiovascular Technology, or an appropriately recognized Paramedic Program.
• 1-2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, or 2+ years of Critical Care or Emergency Department Nursing experience.
• Required certifications include BLS (CPR), ARRT for Radiology Technologists, or RRT credential for Respiratory Therapists.
• Graduates from a Cardiovascular Program must complete RCIS certification within three months of employment.
