JD:

Responsible for advanced full stack development and serving as the primary technical resource for development standards, best practices, and expertise across all projects. This role does not include people management responsibilities. The position focuses on ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable applications while supporting the development team through technical guidance and knowledge sharing. The role also partners with the VP of Technology to incorporate AI into development workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

1 . Technical Development

Develop and maintain full stack applications using modern frameworks

Solve complex technical problems across projects

Provide advanced technical expertise across the development stack

Support implementation of scalable and maintainable solutions

2. Development Standard and Best Practices

Define, document, and enforce development standards and best practices

Ensure consistency in code quality across all projects

Conduct code reviews focused on quality, maintainability, and standards adherence

Identify and reduce technical debt

3. DevOps and CI/CD

Ensure CI/CD pipelines are properly set up and maintained across projects

Standardize deployment practices

Support automation of infrastructure and deployment processes

Monitor and optimize performance and reliability

4. Infrastructure and Systems Support

Support cloud infrastructure and application performance

Assist with implementation of system architecture

Ensure adherence to security and monitoring best practices

Support scalability and reliability improvements

5. AI Development

Work with the VP of Technology to integrate AI into development workflows

Implement AI tools to increase development speed and efficiency

Support adoption of AI-assisted development practices

Evaluate and recommend emerging AI technologies

6. Technical Resource and Collaboration

Serve as technical resource for developers

Provide guidance on standards, best practices, and technical approaches

Answer technical questions and assist with problem solving

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support development efforts

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: All candidates must be able to fulfill E-verify requirements.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Full Stack Development:

Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks/libraries, particularly React.js, Node.js, and Ruby on Rails.

Experience with state management libraries like Redux or Context API.

Familiarity with back-end frameworks such as Express.js, Nest.js, and Rails-based architectures.

Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and web protocols.

Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and ORM tools.

Deep understanding of AI-assisted development tools and workflows, including code generation, debugging, testing, and documentation.

Proven ability to integrate AI into daily development work to significantly improve speed, efficiency, and code quality.

DevOps & Infrastructure Management:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar.

Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

Proficiency in automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments.

Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools and practices.

Strong background in implementing security best practices across the development and deployment lifecycle.

Strong ability to incorporate AI into DevOps processes, including pipeline optimization, monitoring, and incident response.

Version Control & Agile Practices:

Experience with version control systems (Git) and Agile development practices.

Familiarity with code review processes and maintaining code quality standards.

Ability to embed AI tools into Agile workflows to accelerate delivery and improve consistency across teams.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer.

3+ years of experience in a DevOps role or similar capacity.

Demonstrated experience leveraging AI across the software development lifecycle to drive measurable improvements in speed, quality, and cost efficiency.

SKILLS/ABILITIES: Full Stack Development:

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

Strong proficiency in front-end and back-end development, with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.

Advanced ability to use AI tools to accelerate development, automate repetitive tasks, and improve code quality.

DevOps & Infrastructure:

Proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and efficient code deployments.

Ability to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.

Strong capability in monitoring and optimizing application performance and infrastructure.

Experience in implementing security best practices and ensuring high availability and scalability of systems.

Ability to apply AI to improve deployment efficiency, system monitoring, and operational reliability.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Ability to provide constructive feedback during code reviews and work well in an agile environment.
