Recreation Aide

Cayuga Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is actively seeking a motivated and experienced Recreation Aide to work (830a-430p) at our skilled nursing facility in Ithaca, NY. The ideal candidate should have experience in long term care, be well organized with excellent communication skills, and have familiarity and true enjoyment from working with the needs of the elderly. Evening hours preferred with weekend availability needed. Job Duties: Engage new residents and determine their interests Assist in running recreational programs to meet the interests of the residents Assist volunteers and their activities Engage, interact, and actively participate with residents at programs Assist residents with 1:1 support at programs to achieve highest level of participation Regularly document resident's participation in/at programs and 1:1 visits on a daily basis Requirements: Previous experience working with seniors and/or in a healthcare setting is a plus Must be very organized and have the ability to lead others Positive, outgoing, upbeat personality is a must Be self-directed Ability to multi-task #J-18808-Ljbffr Cayuga Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
