Emergency Room Registered Nurse - Nights

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, with a 36/48 hour work option. Every other weekend and holiday availability required.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse with experience in a fast-paced ED setting. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients of all age groups, handling a variety of diagnoses and trauma cases.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Triage patients and assess their needs effectively.
• Manage complex patient cases, including those with multisystem organ dysfunction.
• Perform necessary procedures including intubation, central line management, and splint application.
• Maintain IV lines and administer blood products.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year experience in an emergency department; 2 years preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Maryland or compact license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
