Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CSICU) position in Raleigh, NC, requiring at least one year of recent CSICU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in a 12-bed Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CSICU) within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes critically ill adults (young adult to geriatric) recovering from cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, or requiring intensive care interventions
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 for direct postoperative open heart recovery and 1:2 for general ICU patients
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Every other holiday (EOH) required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact license valid in NC
• Current BLS (AHA or ARC) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent CSICU experience required
• Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and communicate patient care plans and discharge needs
• Provides culturally sensitive, patient- and family-centered care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
• Two professional references are required for consideration
• Background check and drug screen are required prior to start; allow at least two weeks for results
