Contract | Nights (4x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | 13 or 26 week contract options available | 36 or 48 hour weekly options available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult progressive surgical, oncology, palliative care, and progressive acute care patients receiving chemotherapy on a 24-bed unit
• Administer and monitor IV drips as required across all floors
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records system
• Float within scope to various units and campuses as needed to meet facility staffing needs, which may include higher acuity ratios
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including CNAs, care techs, transport teams, and paramedics/swoop personnel
• Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements, including working 4 out of 8 possible weekend shifts per 4-week period and 2 out of 3 major holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Nebraska (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be booked six weeks out)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• First-time travelers not accepted unless candidate has 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in oncology, palliative care, or progressive acute care nursing
• Experience working in a Level I Academic Medical Center environment
• Familiarity with high-acuity patient populations and complex care teams
