SAP ASE Database Administrator
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience with SAP ASE Database Administration.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with SAP ASE Replication Server (setup, configuration, troubleshooting).
- Strong expertise in replication architecture (Warm Standby, Multi-Site Availability, Heterogeneous Replication).
- Experience with replication latency monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and ASE system tables.
- Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems in relation to ASE deployment.
- Familiarity with migration projects from Cloud to Cloud
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SAP ASE upgrades and migrations to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, SAP NS2).
- Knowledge of integration with SAP Business Suite running on ASE.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SAP DBA Cockpit, Prometheus, custom monitoring scripts).
- Prior work with DoD/FedRAMP/NS2 environments
- SAP or Sybase certification in ASE/Replication Server.
- Develop and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies using ASE Replication and associated tools.
