Dental Hygienist

As a Dental Hygienist at Love To Smile, you will provide gentle cleanings, periodontal care, and preventive treatment while helping patients feel calm, cared for, and informed. You will work side by side with Dr. Esther Pedersen and a team that treats patients like family and each other like teammates. Every day you get to build lasting relationships and help people leave with a healthier, more confident smile. What you will do Provide gentle, thorough cleanings and preventive care that keep patients comfortable and coming back Assess periodontal health, deliver scaling and root planing, and support patients through their ongoing gum care Take X-rays and complete accurate charting so the whole team has a clear picture of each patient's health Educate patients in plain, encouraging language about home care, nutrition, and what to expect at each visit Screen for signs of decay, gum disease, and oral health concerns and flag them for the doctor Build genuine relationships that help nervous patients relax and trust the care they are getting Keep your operatory clean, stocked, and ready by following strict sterilization and infection control standards Partner with the dentist and front office to keep each patient's day running smoothly and on time What we look for Current registered dental hygienist license in good standing in Kansas or Missouri A gentle, patient first chairside manner that puts anxious patients at ease A genuine love for teaching patients and helping them take ownership of their oral health Strong knowledge of periodontal care, preventive treatment, and current infection control standards Reliability, punctuality, and pride in doing thorough, high quality work A warm, team oriented attitude and clear, kind communication with patients and coworkers Comfort with digital X-rays and dental software, or the willingness to learn our systems quickly #J-18808-Ljbffr
