Stay up to date and familiarize with all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards. Maintain required education and demonstrate competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests. Ensure efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practice’s designated system. Maintain OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies. Provide whole care to patients during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, and closure of care gaps. Maintain confidentiality of employees’ and patients’ administrative and medical information. Support staff teamwork by assisting patients, visitors, and co‑workers when necessary. Perform clinical intake according to policy and procedures, including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation. Assist with minor procedures associated with specialty and ensure accurate documentation at the time of service or results. Educate patients regarding tests, medications, and diet, providing clear and accurate instructions. Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and functioning medical equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of the health care field and medical terminology. Knowledge of chronic disease management. Ability to utilize internal and external resources. Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems. Ability to function and assist others in stressful, fast‑paced environments and apply stress management techniques. Ability to resolve issues and work independently within the scope of certification. Ability to exercise sound judgement, diplomacy, and a professional demeanor. Demonstrated ability to communicate by reading, writing, and typing legibly, and speaking and comprehending English effectively. Experience with computers. Education High School Grad or Equivalent. Work Experience 1+ year of related work experience (preferred). Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support – CPR (BLS) American Association Medical Assistants (CMA) Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) Physical Requirements Physical requirements: Pay Range $17.11 – $27.38 Background Screening Requirement Florida Level2 background screening, including fingerprinting, is required by state law.
