Mechanical Engineer II - Structural Design & DFA/DFM Onsite

- # Job Description# Mechanical Engineer 2**Location:** Palm Beach Gardens, Florida (Onsite)**Employment Type:** Contract* Perform design of moderately complex structural components and functional systems.* Apply theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques to solve complex component and sub-assembly challenges with limited supervision.* Establish requirements for materials, structural components, and functional systems.* Release results as design data after review by other engineers.* Document the results of all design activities.* Respond to requests in a timely manner and make suggestions for work improvement.* Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).* Working knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software.* Knowledge of ASME Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).* The ability to obtain a Secret Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship, is a prerequisite.* A current active Security Clearance.* Working knowledge of NX software.* Knowledge of general machine shop fabrication processes, with additive manufacturing experience being desirable.* Understanding of Design for Assembly / Design for Manufacturing (DFA/DFM).* Knowledge of additive manufacturing, materials, and manufacturing of metallic structures or composites.* Ability and willingness to travel.*Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
