Supervisor - Maintenance VIM

Supervisor Maintenance Carpenter Technology Corporation is an integrated mill manufacturing high quality premium and ultra-premium forged bar and billet products from melt to ship, and we are seeking a Supervisor Maintenance to oversee maintenance operations. Primary Responsibilities Provide maintenance employees with guidance, direction, and supervision in support of departmental operations. Promptly address performance issues. Actively promote all company policies and expectations, especially those related to safety plans and results. Execute planned and scheduled maintenance operations within assigned areas of responsibility. Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with employees on the shop floor and responding to employee issues and concerns in a timely manner. Maintain well‑organized and productive work areas. Work with others to achieve department and company goals and objectives. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned. Requirements High school diploma required; two‑year college degree preferred. Minimum two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing/maintenance environment. Practical understanding of industrial/maintenance principles, standards, methods, and practices. Knowledge of disciplined problem‑solving methods and positive employee relations practices. Demonstrated leadership ability and sets high expectations for performance. Innovative problem‑solving skills, including motivation to discover “Win‑Win” outcomes whenever possible. Good business judgment and decision‑making skills. Direct, candid, and mature interpersonal skills. Trustworthy and able to influence others. Willingness to offer a dissenting opinion before final decisions are reached. Assertiveness in support of safety and operational requirements. Ability to successfully coordinate internal and external resources, and to organize and prioritize tasks. Disciplined results orientation. Good business writing skills. Flexibility in terms of shift assignments and/or rotations. Ability to work extensive hours in support of continuous operations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, well‑organized and able to prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. Willingness to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing work environment.
