Completes all forms and paperwork in a neat, timely, complete, and accurate manner.Communicates with dispatch, while on duty, to ensure dispatcher has an accurate status report of activities and availabilityResponsible for delivery of excellent customer service and sustaining high levels of customer satisfactionPromotes products and services to the customer.Ensures company property, vehicles, and tools are being used, maintained, and properly accounted forRepresents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and activitiesFollows standard procedures and processes, ensures that the company vehicle is properly stocked, returns defective warranty parts to the branch, and orders/replenishes vehicle stock as needed.May be responsible for completing material requisition forms and related administrative activities.Assists the Field Supervisor or management with site supervision, planning, and estimatingAssists the Field Supervisor or management with completing quality audits on selected service calls to ensure superior performance, quality, and customer satisfactionTrains other service/maintenance/install technicians in technical skills and company procedures, as assignedPerforms similar/other duties as needed or assignedHealth & Safety Roles and Responsibilities:Reports any unsafe acts, conditions and hazards to direct supervisor/manager immediatelyReports any contravention of legislation or company policy, procedure or program to direct supervisor/manager immediatelyCorrects substandard acts or conditions within area of controlUses and maintains appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s)Never removes or renders ineffective safety guards, devices, or clothing prescribed to be in place or wornComplies with the general rules as prescribed by company program(s) procedure(s)Operates devises or equipment as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s)Participates in any safety initiatives, teams, or committeesReports all injuries or incidents as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s) immediatelyProvides input on developing safety initiatives and plans to eliminate exposures that could cause accidentsDoes not perform any act that may endanger the safety or well-being of othersDoes not engage in any pranks, contests, or rough boisterous behaviorWorks in compliance with applicable legislative requirementRequirements:Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work areaEPA 608 Universal requiredOSHA safety certifications preferredAdvanced skills in servicing commercial heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment as well as related accessoriesAdvanced mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipmentProficient and able to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various service projectsAdvanced skills at reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting problems with electrical, refrigerant and duct systems on commercial HVAC equipmentProficient and able to properly start up and balance airflow and to properly align belts and pulleys on all commercial systems with little to no supervisionProficient and able to install a basic duct fittingAdvanced skills in troubleshooting and repairing electronic air cleaners, refrigeration systems, gas fired equipment, hot water systems, steam boiler systems, chill water systems, computer room units, humidifiers, and related equipment with little to no supervisionAbility to calculate heat gain and loss on commercial buildings using approved methods.Effective communication skills to communicate with customer and resolve customer issues, complaints, or concernsEffective and efficient time-management and organizational skillsValid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordAvailable to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as neededAbility to stand and walk and to climb ladders to access HVAC units. Ability to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including but not limited to the following: hot, cold, outdoor, indoor, dry, humid, slippery surfaces, heights, and congested areasAbility to safely climb 300lb load capacity rated ladders with a 30lb tool beltNatural or corrected vision to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perceptionAbility to lift up to 75 pounds and ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 poundsQualifications:• Minimum Experience: 6+ years• Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GEDEqual Opportunity Employer.
