Work hours: Full Time – 36 Hours; Day Shift; 7:00am - 7:00 pm Vascular Access Department Highlights: Close-knit team with an engaged manager Autonomy and independent practice opportunities Ability to work throughout the hospital and support multiple units Collaborative, patient-centered environmentHere's What You Need Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma required BSN preferred 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting (Required) Previous Vascular Access Team (VAT) experience (Strongly Preferred) RN – Registered Nurse (Required upon hire) BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required prior to providing independent patient care; maintained quarterly) Current proficiency with ultrasound guided IV insertion, midline placement, and/or PICC placement Experience providing vascular access services across multiple patient care settingsWhat You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other's need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfersAdditional perks of being a Texas Health Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment assistance as well as several other benefits.
