Warehouse LeadThe position of Warehouse Lead will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse responsibilities and directing the warehouse workforce. This position will coordinate receiving and distribution of district supplies, materials, and equipment. They will oversee the supply order process and coordinate all deliveries throughout the district. They will manage all sanctioned moves, including furniture, equipment, and supplies, throughout the district. This position requires you to work closely with the Nutrition Service department to provide delivery support to all district locations during the school year and summer feeding program.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Conditions of employment include passing a basic skills test, employment history in similar positions, references indicating satisfactory skills and abilities, successful completion of training or certification programs, ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation, passing a physical capacity exam, completion of Safe Schools Web Based Training, passing a background check, ability to read and understand written instructions, and a valid Washington driver's license with a clean driving record.Qualifications required include previous experience in all aspects of warehousing, forklift certification with at least five years of practical experience, leadership experience, understanding of food safety regulations, upholding board policies, taking precautions to protect students and property, attending in-service training courses, ability to establish and maintain effective relationships, sufficient command of the English language, positive evaluations/recommendations, excellent attendance, punctuality, dependability, and self-discipline, and ability to use basic computer programs.Qualifications preferred include knowledge and experience with the district's work order system, working knowledge of postal procedures, experience with the district's Fixed Asset tracking system, experience with the district's shipping/receiving tracking system, self-starter with problem-solving ability, ability to organize and prioritize tasks, and ability to keep accurate records.Job responsibilities include directing the workforce, receiving and verifying incoming food and supplies, coordinating deliveries, responding to emergency requests, mastering the work order system, receiving and routing incoming packages, overseeing sorting and distribution of pony mail, organizing warehouse, ensuring compliance with FDA and local health standards, overseeing Fixed Asset system, coordinating moves of furniture and equipment, training new employees, performing minor repairs, communicating with Assistant Warehouse Lead and Purchasing Manager, responding to after-hours emergency refrigerator and freezer calls, and facilitating coverage in the Assistant Warehouse Lead's absence.General requirements include language skills, mathematical skills, and reasoning ability.
