Controls Technician - East Greenville, PA
$28-$30/hr | 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Monday-Friday) We are seeking a Controls Technician to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment in East Greenville, PA. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and programming automated production equipment, including PLC-controlled systems, to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime. You will work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to support daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and programming automated production equipment, including PLC-controlled systems, to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime. You will work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to support daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated production equipment to support uptime and production goals
- Develop, modify, and debug PLC programs used in manufacturing processes (ladder logic and structured text)
- Support equipment installations, commissioning, and start-up activities, including safety system validation and loop checks
- Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems including conveyors, motors, sensors, and servo drives
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, production, and OEM support to resolve equipment issues
- Perform electrical modifications and assist with control system upgrades and configuration
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, LOTO, and arc flash safety standards
- Follow GMP, EHS, and plant safety procedures at all times
- Utilize a continuous improvement mindset to support equipment and process enhancements
- Maintain documentation and support work order systems as required
- 1-2 years of experience in automated manufacturing or controls-related role
- Experience developing or troubleshooting PLC programs in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Familiarity with Rockwell Automation platforms (Studio 5000, RSLogix 500/5000, FactoryTalk, CCW)
- Understanding of electrical systems including VFDs, motors, sensors, and safety circuits
- Working knowledge of LOTO and arc flash safety requirements
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills across multiple departments
- Degree or certificate in Electrical Engineering, Controls, Automation, or related field
- Experience with Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, or similar fieldbus protocols
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Root cause analysis experience
- Conveyor system experience
- Familiarity with CMMS systems (Maximo a plus)
