Job Description Job Description Job Opportunity: Academic Rheumatologist The Department of Medicine at our organization is in search of a full-time Academic Rheumatologist (Assistant or Associate Professor) to become a part of our Division of Rheumatology. This role provides a chance to engage in comprehensive rheumatology practice within a collaborative and academically driven setting. Position Overview: Outpatient rheumatology practice addressing a wide array of autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders. Responsibilities include inpatient consult services. Engagement in multidisciplinary clinics and innovative care models. Exposure to a variety of complex rheumatologic conditions. A vibrant academic atmosphere with opportunities to educate medical students, residents, and fellows. Possibilities to initiate or take part in clinical and/or translational research. Collaborative care approach involving Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nursing staff, and support personnel. Candidate Qualifications: MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology. Proven clinical proficiency in managing rheumatologic diseases. Strong dedication to medical education and mentorship. Interest or experience in clinical research is highly preferred. Eligibility for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Qualification for medical licensure in New York State. Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations. Benefits and Compensation: Attractive base salary range of $240,000-$270,000, commensurate with rank and experience, along with additional incentive bonuses based on clinical and academic performance.
