Litigation Paralegal

A respected Chicago-based litigation firm is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support its growing General Liability practice. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working closely with attorneys on all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial.

Position Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation from case inception through trial.
• Draft, compile, prepare, and manage discovery requests and responses.
• Review, organize, summarize, and abstract medical records.
• Prepare medical chronologies and case summaries.
• Coordinate and prepare deposition, mediation, hearing, and trial materials.
• Organize and maintain case files, pleadings, exhibits, correspondence, and litigation documents.
• Track document productions and discovery compliance.
• Maintain litigation calendars and monitor deadlines.
• Communicate with clients, experts, medical providers, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit management and witness coordination.
• Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys and partners as needed.

Qualifications

• Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program required.
• 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Illinois litigation experience required; Indiana litigation experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
