Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving students as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the Birmingham, AL area! This position offers immediate placement through June 10th, working closely with a supportive district team dedicated to student success.

You’ll have the opportunity to work at a campus aligned with your preferences and geographic proximity, ensuring a manageable and meaningful caseload. Collaboration is at the heart of this role—you’ll be part of a professional network of OTs, providing continuous support and shared expertise for the duration of your assignment. Consistent schedules with a minimum of 30 hours per week ensure that you have stability while making a positive impact in school settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services to K-12 students according to IEP goals
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skill needs
• Collaborate with educators, families, and allied specialists to foster student growth and inclusion
• Maintain thorough documentation of services, progress, and recommendations
• Participate in IEP meetings, sharing student progress and strategies for achieving goals

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Alabama occupational therapy certification or license (required; proof must be provided)
• Experience in a school or pediatric therapy setting is preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Willingness to work onsite; this position does not offer virtual options
