Quality Manager
PER SE GROUP INC
You’re not taking this Quality Manager role to sit behind a desk and check boxes. You’ll be in the field every day, working alongside construction teams, contractors, and suppliers on a major power-generation capital project. When something doesn’t line up with the plans, quality requirements, or contract – you’re expected to speak up and help get it fixed. What you’ll do Build and manage the site and vendor quality audit programs. Get into the field for scheduled and unscheduled supplier inspections and contractor surveillances. Review Quality Plans, inspection and testing procedures, welding/NDE procedures, ITPs, and quality records. Identify high-risk quality activities and make sure mitigation plans are established and tracked through completion. Monitor NCRs, trend recurring issues, and initiate corrective action requests when something needs to be addressed. Participate in system walkdowns and review punch lists for quality-related items. Work directly with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and site construction leadership to keep the project aligned with its quality requirements. What you get This is a long-term contract expected to run through 2032, giving you something that is increasingly difficult to find in construction: a project you can actually settle into and own. The pay is $70–$80/hour , with $800/week per diem available for qualified travelers. The project is based in the Oklahoma City area, and the schedule is 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Who you are You know construction quality from the field, not just from a manual. You have at least five years of quality experience on power-generation capital construction projects and understand what it takes to hold contractors and suppliers accountable. Experience with 7FA or GE LM6000 turbines is especially valuable. You’re comfortable working across multiple crafts, with strong electrical understanding a plus. You also need the communication skills and backbone to challenge a contractor, or an owner when the work or plans aren’t right. OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and USACE Construction Quality Control Management certifications are required.
