Sterile Processing Technician

This position is for a Sterile Processing Technician responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization and handling of medical instruments and equipment. The role requires adherence to safety and infection control standards while supporting various departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization processes for surgical instruments and equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of sterilization equipment and documentation of procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the department.
• Prepare and package instruments for sterilization.
• Assist in inventory management and supply tracking.
• Support operational needs by floating to other areas as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Central Supply Technician Certification.
• All licenses and certifications must be valid throughout the duration of employment.

Requested time off during the initial contract is limited to a maximum of 7 days, from Wednesday to Wednesday. Compliance with internal requirements must be completed at least 10 days before the contract start date. Travel to different areas within skillset may be required based on operational needs.
