General Summary

Under supervision, installs, maintains, adjusts, operates, and repairs water distribution and sewer collection systems.

Essential Functions

• Installation, maintenance, operation, and repair of systems includes but is not limited to the physical structure such as valves, pumps, meters, screens, water taps, manholes, and any other stationary or mobile equipment necessary, and required for proper operations of these systems

• Takes and records readings produced from the operation of equipment and generates associated reports

• Daily and punctual attendance in the office and/or job site or off-site location is required

• Operated dump truck and front-end loader

• This position required to be available on an on-call basis for emergencies

• Travel between work locations is required

• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Works under close supervision, employee’s work product is subject to close, continuous inspection. Employee receives detailed instructions on new projects and assignments

Here's what you'll need

• Hight School Diploma or possession of GED Certificate

• Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License 

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Obtain Level II certification in Wastewater or Collections Systems within 36 months of assignment date depending on department assignment

• Obtain Level II certificate in Water or Distribution systems within 36 months of assignment depending on department assignment.

The base salary range for this position is $60,902.40 to $60,902.40; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
