Software Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a software engineer for a hybrid position with a global financial institution located in Minneapolis, MN; Charlotte, NC; Des Moines, IA; or San Antonio, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role will participate in issue resolution and daily efforts related to metric and data reporting from multiple sources. The position involves Power BI report creation, decommissioning, maintenance, and migrating existing Tableau reports to Power BI. The ideal candidate will respond to leadership requests for data and reporting and work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders as priorities evolve in support of a data-driven, highly automated organization.

Responsibilities:

• Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within software engineering
• Review and analyze moderately complex software engineering challenges
• Contribute to the resolution of issues and consult with others to meet deliverables
• Participate in day-to-day efforts related to metric/data reporting from multiple sources
• Handle Power BI report creation, decommissioning, and maintenance
• Migrate existing Tableau reports to Power BI
• Collaborate with client personnel in software engineering

Requirements:

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education
• Strong experience with Power BI, including Power BI fabric
• Experience with Tableau report development and migration
• Proficiency with SQL and Microsoft SQL

Desired Skills:

• Experience with JIRA and Confluence
• Knowledge of GitHub
• Familiarity with Alteryx
• Experience with Python

Pay range: $43.59 - $51.59 per hour
