Temporary Part-Time Storekeeper

The City of Azusa's Administrative Services Department is seeking a dependable and motivated Temporary Part-Time Storekeeper to support daily warehouse and delivery functions. This hands-on position plays an important role in maintaining the efficient flow of materials and supplies for City departments and facilities. Responsibilities include receiving and organizing deliveries, preparing and transporting supplies to various City locations, and assisting with general warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, customer service oriented, and comfortable performing physical work in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Information: $32.40 - $39.38 Hourly. Please Note: Part-time employees cannot work more than 1,000 hours per fiscal year, serve at will, and are exempt from the Civil Service System.

Essential Functions

Under general supervision, performs a variety of purchasing tasks; conducts storekeeping activities including the receipt, inspection, delivery, pick-up, inventory, storage, and issuance of stock; performs related duties as required.

Qualification Guidelines

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma/GED. One (1) year of experience in storekeeping and inventory control. Licenses or Certification: Possession of and ability to maintain a valid Class C California Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record. Possession of and ability to maintain a valid Forklift Operator License.

Special Requirements/Physical, Mental, Environmental Conditions

Work is performed primarily in a warehouse setting. Required to work extended hours including evenings and weekends from time-to-time. Prolonged sitting and regular standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities. Grasping, repetitive hand movement in opening and lifting boxes, and fine coordination in using a computer keyboard. Near and far vision in reading written records and computer screen. Acute hearing is required when providing phone and personal service. Lift, drag and push equipment, boxes and packages weighing up to 80 pounds.
