Crime Analyst

Crime Analyst – $27.58/hour; 40 hours/week – Closing Date: Until Filled Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Crime Analysis, Intelligence Studies, Data Analytics, Statistics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or other closely related field. Professional experience working with law enforcement, public safety, criminal justice, intelligence analysis, or crime analysis, and experience with data analysis, statistical reporting, crime mapping, intelligence analysis, or performance measurement. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Valid South Carolina driver’s license. Responsibilities The Crime Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and disseminating crime, intelligence, and operational data to support evidence-based policing strategies, crime reduction initiatives, resource deployment decisions, and organizational performance measurement. The position serves as a key component of the Florence Police Department’s commitment to stratified policing, intelligence-led policing, community engagement, and data-driven decision-making.
