Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Labor and Delivery to join our Women's Services unit. This position involves providing comprehensive care for mothers and newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Position Information:

• Unit: Labor and Delivery Unit - Women's and Newborn Services
• Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years

Required Certifications:

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Unit Profile:

• Number of Beds: 4 LDR beds; 10 postpartum beds
• Patient Ratios: 3 couplets (mother/baby); 1:1 in active labor
• EHR Systems: Meditech and Centricity

Typical Patient Population:

This position involves caring for patients in a Level 1 nursery, delivering for pregnancies of 35 weeks and higher, primarily managing low-risk labor.

Hiring Profile:

• Must Have Skills/Experience: Experience in labor and delivery
• Preferred Skills/Experience: Familiarity with mother-baby couplet care
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Low-risk labor management
• Required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
