Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking a Maintenance Engineer. The Maintenance Engineer will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our sheet steel mill. As part of the Maintenance team, the Maintenance Engineer will lead by example with respect to safety, reliability, quality, cost, project management, and Nucor culture. The Engineer will be responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing equipment improvements that enhance reliability, maintainability, safety, and overall plant performance. This position will also support the execution and optimization of reliability-based, predictive, and preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimum equipment performance and minimize unplanned downtime. This role requires the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and both scheduled and unscheduled overtime as needed.

Nucor Steel West Virginia's greenfield project is a new state-of-the-art sheet steel mill that will produce up to 3 million tons per year once fully operational. This advanced manufacturing facility is located in Mason County, along the Ohio River in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
