If you meet the qualifications and feel your experience can help us grow in this way, we would love to hear from you.Position SummaryThe Family Resources Coordinator (FRC) is an integral part of our Early Support services team. The FRC is responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating comprehensive, family-centered early support services for children birth to three and their families, under the provision of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, IDEA-Part C, Early Intervention Section, and following the guidance of Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) and Whatcom Center for Early Learning (WCEL) guidelines. This position reports to their assigned Lead Family Resources Coordinator.We are looking for individuals who are proficient in verbally communicating in Spanish and English. Location: Primarily works from the Blue or Brick House as assigned, and remotely as necessary.Duties and Responsibilities Family Resource Coordination & Service Delivery Coordinate the intake, eligibility, evaluation, enrollment, and transition process for children and families participating in Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) services.Partner with families and the interdisciplinary Primary Service Provider (PSP) team to develop, implement, and review Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).Facilitate the development of functional family-centered outcomes and goals that support child participation in daily routines and activities.Engage parents and caregivers as active partners in all aspects of assessment, planning, service delivery, and transition.Coordinate and monitor services to ensure families receive timely, integrated support in natural environments, including homes and community settings.Family Support & Community Collaboration Provide families with information, resources, and referrals to support informed decision-making and access to community services.Advocate for family priorities and support understanding of rights, responsibilities, and available programs and services.Collaborate with medical providers, school districts, childcare providers, social service agencies, cultural navigators, and other community partners to address family needs.Participate in outreach and community engagement activities that promote awareness of WCEL and ESIT services.Attend family education opportunities, community meetings, and agency events as assigned.Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate, complete, and timely records in required ESIT data systems in compliance with program regulations, contractual requirements, and WCEL standards.Prepare and maintain required documentation, including assessments, IFSPs, progress updates, medical information, transition records, and family files.Protect the confidentiality and security of family and child information in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies.Team Collaboration & Professional Growth Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, staff meetings, reflective supervision, and professional development activities.Support student interns, practicum students, and job-shadow experiences in coordination with program leadership, as assigned.Contribute to a collaborative, family-centered, and strengths-based team culture.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Family Resource Coordinator.Skills and AbilitiesVerbal communication proficiency in both Spanish and English highly preferred.Professional work habits (punctual, responsive, organized, ability to manage multiple projects, attention to detail).Excellent communication and conflict management skills including via written, in-person and telephone.Ability to prioritize effectively and handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously and strong organizational/record keeping skills.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff as a foundational team member.Education and Knowledge RequiredHigh school diploma or GEDPreferredFRC credentialing through ESIT/DCYF (can be completed after hiring);Awareness of resources and services in the community and Whatcom County;Experience in or with home visiting;Personal experience with infants and toddlers with special health care needs and their families;Prior experience in education, healthcare, childcare, or non-profits.Benefits (if applicable)401(k) with company matchHealth insurance (Medical/Dental/Vision) – including family coverage optionsFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Employee assistance programProfessional Development StipendFlexible schedulePaid time offOther RequirementsVehicle in working condition, driver's license, and auto insuranceFLSA Status OptionsNon-Exempt: This position is eligible for overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a workweek in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Washington State regulations.Whatcom Center for Early Learning (WCEL) is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
