Position Overview The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for developing accurate, competitive estimates for commercial electrical projects, including ground-up construction, tenant improvements, and design-build work. The role works closely with preconstruction, project management, and executive leadership to support successful project delivery and long-term growth. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed electrical estimates from conceptual budgets through GMP and final pricing Perform complete quantity takeoffs for power, lighting, fire alarm, low-voltage, and related systems Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents for accuracy and completeness Develop labor, material, and equipment pricing using historical data and current market conditions Participate in negotiated work, design-build, and preconstruction services Solicit, review, and level vendor and subcontractor pricing Identify scope gaps, risk items, and value-engineering opportunities Support leadership with bid strategy, project phasing, and risk assessment Coordinate with project management and field teams during handoff Maintain estimating databases, assemblies, and pricing benchmarks Project Types Commercial ground-up projects Tenant improvements and interior build-outs Office, retail, mixed-use, and corporate facilities Design-build and negotiated commercial work Qualifications 5+ years of electrical estimating experience with a commercial electrical contractor Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and construction means and methods Experience with negotiated and design-build work preferred Proficiency with Accubid (Classic/Enterprise/Anywhere), ConEst, or similar estimating software Ability to interpret complex construction documents and specifications Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Stable work history and interest in long-term career growth Why This Opportunity Decades-established contractor with a strong DFW presence Negotiated and repeat-client backlog providing stability and predictability Structured estimating processes with strong historical data Collaborative culture with direct access to leadership Competitive compensation, bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits Long-term growth opportunity in the Dallas–Fort Worth market #J-18808-Ljbffr Eliteexecutivesolutions
