Missile (or pneumatic boring) crews are responsible for installing underground conduit by driving a pneumatic “missile” tool horizontally through the ground—commonly used for road crossings, driveways, and tight-access areas. Responsibilities:
- Assist with setup and operation of pneumatic boring (missile) equipment
- Dig entry and exit pits for bores
- Align and launch missile for accurate underground installations
- Install conduit for fiber optic cable
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Work closely with drill operators, locators, and crew members
- Follow all safety guidelines and job site procedures
- Experience in underground utility construction or similar field preferred
- Ability to operate hand tools and small equipment
- Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physical labor
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license
- Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-focused
