We are seeking a PCB Design Engineer to join a product development team in Palm Bay, FL, for a 6-month contract to hire position. They will be responsible for designing high-quality printed circuit board (PCB) layouts for advanced engineering programs. This role involves using Siemens Xpedition CAD software to create and release layout files, interpret electrical schematics and mechanical data, and ensure designs meet IPC Class 3 standards and established fabrication guidelines. The engineer will collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver accurate and manufacturable solutions. Experience with additional tools such as Valor NPI, BluePrint, Cadence Allegro, Altium, or PADS is preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 6 years or more of relevant printed circuit board (pcb) design experience.
- Advanced experience of Siemens Xpedition ECAD software tools
- Experience in pcb design technologies
- Experience in reading pcb fabrication and assembly drawings
- Experience in drawing electrical schematics
Compensation:
$60/hr to $65/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
