Work Schedule
Full Time: 40 hours/week
Current obstetrical call expectations are approximately:
- Weekdays: 1:5
- Weekends (Saturday–Sunday): 1:5
Call frequency may change based on provider staffing levels and obstetrical volume.
Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, mission-driven Family Physician with Obstetrics to join our collaborative team. This position provides comprehensive, full-spectrum family medicine, including outpatient primary care and inpatient and outpatient obstetrical services. The ideal candidate is passionate about caring for families across the lifespan, committed to health equity, and enjoys working in a collaborative, team-based environment.
This role includes comprehensive obstetrical care spanning the prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum periods, while maintaining a full scope family medicine practice in the outpatient setting. The physician will also participate in clinical teaching and educational conferences, helping to train the next generation of community health clinicians. Experience in academic medicine or clinical education is preferred but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based, full-spectrum family medicine for patients of all ages.
- Deliver inpatient and outpatient obstetrical care, including, prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum and newborn care.
- Participate in the inpatient obstetrical call schedule.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Contribute to didactic conferences and clinical teaching of family medicine and APP residents, students, and other learners.
- Foster a positive learning environment that supports professional growth and evidence-based practice.
- Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives focused on improving patient outcomes, safety, access, and operational excellence.
- Offer clinical consultation and arrange referrals to internal/external clinicians and services as appropriate.
- Manage in basket messaging: labs, imaging results, medication refills, patient/staff communication.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation within the electronic health record.
- Respond to emails and other organizational communication messaging in a timely manner.
- Complete required compliance and competency courses.
- Attend all staff meetings and all other meetings as assigned
- Demonstrate professionalism, cultural humility, and a commitment to equitable, patient-centered care.
- Maintain professional competence through continuing medical education, lifelong learning, and ongoing board certification.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- Doctoral degree in Medicine or Osteopathy from an accredited educational institution.
- Completed Family Medicine residency with OB training from accredited educational institution or school.
- Experience with operative obstetrics is a plus but not required.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registration
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP). Board certification is required within 6 months of employment.
- Current, unrestricted Colorado medical license.
- Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
- Currently credentialed and actively providing inpatient obstetrical care or have actively provided inpatient obstetrical care within the previous 24 months.
- Eligible for and able to obtain hospital Medical Staff Privileges.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Life Support certifications as required by hospital privileging.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrates proficiency in the delivery of full-spectrum Family Medicine.
- Experience in academic medicine, residency education, or clinical teaching preferred, but not required.
- Passion for serving diverse and medically underserved communities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative leadership skills.
- Possesses the capability to effectively and sensitively respond to the needs and concerns of STRIDE’s high acuity patient population.
- Collaborates with other providers and clinical staff to develop continual quality improvement procedures and provide quality patient-centered care.
- Manages sensitive information ethically and responsibly.
- Possesses knowledge of the electronic medical records (EMR) system. STRIDE uses Epic
We offer a competitive salary/hourly range of $250,000 - $300,000, depending on your experience.
This range reflects STRIDE’s good faith estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting. The final salary for the selected candidate will be determined based on several factors, including experience, education, budget, internal equity, specialty, and training.

Tools you’ll use
Computer (personal laptop supplied by STRIDE), printer, copy/scanner, multi-line telephone systems, fax machine, and all Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and the internet.
Working Environment and Physical Activities
Office environment within a clinical setting. Enters data into computer programs via computer, mouse and keyboard. Moves/transports objects up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally. Communicates information to others. Discerns/analyzes information from others to assist in decision making.

Performance of the essential functions of this position may require exposure to blood and body fluids, biohazardous materials (including bacteria, fungi, and viruses), chemicals, hazardous materials, communicable diseases, outdoor weather conditions, wet and/or humid environments, dust, fumes, gases, mists, powders, and loud or unpleasant noises. Employees may be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks, gowns, gloves, goggles, face shields, and other protective gear as necessary.
