Warehouse Operations Lead

Hoffman Hydronics

Location: Suwanee/Atlanta Area, Georgia

Department: Warehouse / Operations

The Warehouse Operations Lead is a key driver of how the Georgia warehouse operation performs every day. This role supports the safety, organization, efficiency, and day-to-day performance of warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, logistics, and pump assembly support.

This role is for someone who takes ownership -someone who takes pride in the performance of the operation and the quality of the results. The right person notices what needs attention, sets a high standard, follows through, and helps create a warehouse operation that reflects well on Hoffman Hydronics.

Who We Are

Hoffman Hydronics is committed to delivering excellence in warehouse operations, logistics, and customer service while building a culture rooted in safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Our Georgia warehouse team plays an important role in supporting customers, vendors, and teammates across the business. This position offers an opportunity to strengthen the operation, support the team, and contribute to a work environment that people are proud of.

What You'll Do

• Support day-to-day warehouse operations, serving as a lead point of contact for workflow, shipping and receiving, and logistics coordination.
• Provide daily guidance to warehouse personnel with clear expectations, accountability, and support.
• Help ensure shipping and receiving processes are accurate, timely, and aligned with company standards.
• Coordinate freight activity, carrier communication, and logistics issues with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
• Keep warehouse workflows organized, efficient, and productive, with safety as the top priority.
• Foster a positive, respectful team culture committed to doing things the right way.
• Provide day-to-day coaching, support training efforts, and escalate performance concerns to leadership as appropriate.
• Communicate with leadership, sales, operations, and other internal teams about operational priorities, issues, and results.
• Maintain strong working relationships with other Hoffman companies in the Georgia branch and warehouse teams in other locations.
• Serve as a reliable backup for pump assembly operations and as a backup trainer when the primary instructor is unavailable.

Operational Safety and Accountability

• Maintain organized work areas and clear pathways to support safe, efficient warehouse activity.
• Conduct or support regular warehouse safety inspections and promptly report or address operational hazards.
• Partner with the Hoffman Safety Department to maintain accurate safety documentation and keep required records current and accessible.
• Reinforce adherence to OSHA requirements, PPE expectations, and established warehouse safety procedures.
• Identify workflow challenges and recommend improvements that reduce errors, delays, and avoidable issues.

Hands-On Leadership

This is a lead role, but not a sit-behind-the-desk position. The right person will be visible in the operation, engaged with the team, and willing to step in when needed to keep work moving.

This individual will lead by example, earn trust through consistency, and take pride in helping the team succeed through daily guidance, training support, and hands-on assistance.

What We're Looking For

• Three to five years of warehouse operations experience, including lead, supervisory, or team-coordination responsibilities.
• High school diploma or GED required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in operations, logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience with shipping and receiving, freight coordination, and warehouse workflows.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide, support, and hold a team accountable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well across teams.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
• Sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and a practical, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements, warehouse safety practices, and compliance expectations.
• Comfort with warehouse systems, inventory software, Microsoft Office, and related tools, or the ability to learn quickly.
• Mechanical aptitude; prior pump assembly or similar mechanical equipment experience is helpful.
• Valid driver's license.

How Success Looks

Success means leading a safe, organized, responsive warehouse operation where team members understand expectations, take pride in their work, and consistently deliver strong results.

It also means keeping freight and logistics running smoothly, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting team development, and resolving operational issues before they become larger problems.

Physical Demands

This role requires regular movement throughout the warehouse, including standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

The position includes exposure to warehouse conditions such as changing temperatures, noise, dust, and mechanical equipment. Required PPE may include safety glasses, hard hats, gloves, hearing protection, and safety vests, as applicable.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
