Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' orthopedic conditions to establish a detailed understanding of their functional limitations and goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, ensuring the incorporation of evidence-based practices.
• Deliver hands-on therapy, including exercise programs and manual therapies, aimed at enhancing mobility, relieving pain, and restoring function.
• Educate clients and their families on effective home exercise regimens and self-management techniques to promote recovery and independence.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and share progress updates on patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system. Our client population consists of individuals at various life stages, from young athletes recovering from sports injuries to older adults dealing with age-related mobility issues. Each treatment plan aims to empower patients to take an active role in their recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• At least three years of clinical experience in physical therapy, particularly in orthopedics.
• In-depth understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy, physiology, and pathology, as well as treatment protocols.
• Proficiency in assessing patient needs, developing custom treatment plans, and measuring outcomes to adjust care plans accordingly.

Preferred Experience

• A Master's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• Five or more years of hands-on experience in a rehabilitation or acute care setting focused on orthopedic conditions.
• Familiarity with specialized rehabilitation tools and methods, including modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic exercise equipment.
• Active involvement in continuing education and membership in professional organizations related to physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
