Candidates should bring a strong understanding of the healthcare payer clinical ecosystem and how health plans operate, including the relationship between procurement decisions, medical cost management, quality outcomes, member and provider experience, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is comfortable evaluating and discussing SaaS solutions, platform architecture, API integrations, interoperability, data platforms, and other technology-enabled healthcare services while partnering with business stakeholders, clinical teams, IT leaders, and suppliers.This position will perform category management around the identification, development, and execution of sourcing and procurement strategies. Key areas of focus include needs analysis, sourcing options, supplier selection, negotiation support, contract oversight, cost reduction initiatives, supplier risk management, and business relationship management. The role is expected to provide thought leadership across complex spend categories, leveraging market intelligence, supplier roadmaps, and negotiation strategies to support business objectives and procurement outcomes.
