Travel RRT - South Portland, ME

This travel opportunity seeks experienced Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) to support respiratory care services in a Level 1 trauma, tertiary teaching hospital. Multiple openings are available on a 3x12 night schedule (7 PM to 7:30 AM), with a 26-week assignment preferred. The facility is expanding its Surgical ICU and Intermediate Care units, increasing the demand for skilled respiratory care professionals.


Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory therapy across adult acute care, critical care, NICU/PICU, and emergency department settings.
• Operate and manage advanced respiratory equipment including Drager V500/VN500, Hamilton T1/C1, Respironics V30/V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, and Vapotherm.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver patient-centered respiratory care.
• Respond to on-call requirements with a 2-hour availability for incoming shifts.
• Use EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and communication.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in tertiary teaching hospital and Level 1 trauma center settings.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred; NRP certification required for NICU assignments.
• Experience in acute care pediatrics, NICU/PICU, cardiothoracic care, and adult critical care preferred.
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a collaborative attitude.

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7 PM-7:30 AM)
