Van Pack Drainage Engineer Location: Camberley STW, Home Counties South Region (Camberley, Surrey) Job Type: Permanent, full-time Hours: 4 Days On 4 Days Off (working both earlies and lates), 40.25 hours weekly average Salary: OTE £37,000 per annum (basic pay, overtime, on call allowance and bonuses) Benefits: 21 days holiday (including bank holidays), health cash plan, free onsite parking, auto enrolment pension scheme, friendly working environment About the Role: Due to continued growth and development, we are looking for customer focused people to join us in our Utility Division, working on our Thames Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to waste-water network and drainage problems. Responsibilities Travel to residential sites in a van and operate a high-pressure water jet for restoration work Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems Record each job report accurately using specialist equipment Run diagnostics and repairs on drains Deliver good customer service Maintain good health and safety practice while carrying out works Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished Comply with health and safety responsibilities, and use PPE and safe site set ups protecting personnel, the public and road users Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms Work unsupervised in all weather conditions, wearing correct PPE and utilise the lone worker system Dynamically risk assess site access and working conditions as needed Liaise with the client regarding process and updates Provide support to colleagues Conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment and plant before and after use Report any defects or malfunctions Carry out risk assessments and adopt a mature approach to risk perception Be aware of all company policies and responsibilities towards them Perform any other reasonable ad-hoc tasks, duties or projects requested by management About You The ideal candidate is hard working, respectful and complies with health and safety standards. Experience in using high pressure jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications such as NRSWA and Confined Spaces are an advantage. A full UK driver’s licence is required, as all vehicles are manual. Training Full training provided.
