Reports To: Site Supervisor
Starting Pay : $18.35 hourly
POSITION SUMMARY: Caritas Family Solutions is seeking compassionate caregivers to serve as Direct Service Providers (DSP) in our Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) homes. This role is perfect for emotionally mature professionals who are passionate about supporting people living with developmental disabilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including meal preparation, housekeeping, personal care, medication support, and recreational activities.
- Monitor and document medication administration and report health concerns to appropriate staff.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and guardians through effective communication and excellent customer service.
- Assist residents with budgeting, purchases, and management of personal funds as appropriate.
- Support residents in accessing community resources and building natural support networks.
- Provide training, coaching, and encouragement to assist residents in achieving individual goals.
- Provide direct personal care and supervision based on individual resident needs.
- Maintain required documentation and records in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
- Promote resident dignity, choice, independence, and community engagement.

Requirements:EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/PREFERRED:
Degree/Field Required : High School Diploma or GED
Additional Fields of Knowledge Important for the Role:
· Developmental disabilities services
· Community-based support practices
· Customer service principles
· Documentation and recordkeeping
Experience Required: N/A
Experience Preferred: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a residential setting.
Licenses/Certifications Required: Successful completion of required DSP training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium Work. Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Requires standing, walking, sitting, bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive hand movements. Must be able to assist individuals with mobility needs and perform physical tasks associated with residential support services.
VISUAL ACUITY:
The worker is required to have visual acuity sufficient to monitor resident safety, observe behaviors, complete documentation, and perform routine workplace activities.
