About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required in cardiac cath lab settings License: Active state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures, charting in Epic required Description: The position involves working in a cardiac cath lab. The shift schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts. Clinicians are expected to be available for on-call shifts. Each clinician must take 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts within every 6-week period. One full weekend of call must be scheduled together. Clinicians can take remaining weekday call shifts individually throughout the cycle. One Saturday shift for elective cases is also required during each 6-week period. Clinicians must be able to return to the hospital within 30 minutes when called. All requests for time off must be included with the submission. The facility has a call-off policy that allows for one shift to be called off every two weeks. Clinicians must be available to work or take call for one holiday per 13-week contract, in rotation with staff. The unit serves adult patients and includes 6 procedure rooms. The average daily census is 15 to 20 patients. Common diagnoses include coronary artery disease and valve disorders. Advanced procedures performed include TAVR and left atrial appendage closures. Key equipment used includes IABP, Impella, and various other devices. The facility is recognized for its excellence in cardiac cath lab services. The team consists of multidisciplinary professionals and operates in a state-of-the-art environment.
