Project Engineer

Work Model: Onsite at customer facility nLogic is seeking a Project Engineer to support operations in the Huntsville area. This role will support day‑to‑day technical program execution by managing schedules, risks, action items, and coordination across multiple internal and external stakeholders within a fast‑paced, mission‑focused environment. In this role, you will work closely with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), customer personnel, and cross‑functional engineering and program leads to support planning, integration, and execution activities for a complex hardware development effort. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and deliver updates to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in the customer‑required format Perform schedule variance analysis and provide weekly and monthly updates to customer scheduling personnel Support resource loading and forecasting activities for IPT functions based on approved schedules Lead and support program planning sessions, coordination meetings, and routine status events Prepare and maintain action item logs, meeting notes, and forward‑looking activity plans Support risk, issue, and opportunity tracking and reporting using customer‑provided toolsEnsure program documentation and deliverables meet customer formatting requirements and incorporate all customer comments Coordinate closely with IPT members to ensure alignment to schedule, plans, and milestones Support hardware documentation processes, including compliance‑related certifications as required Work onsite within the customer’s required work schedule (typically a 4x10 workweek) Required Qualifications Active, in‑scope Secret security clearance required 5+ years of work experience in project engineering, program coordination, or schedule integration in an aerospace or defense environment Experience with IMS development, schedule analysis, or program planning tools Experience supporting risk, issue, and opportunity management processes Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical and programmatic meetings Ability to work onsite and comply with customer work schedule requirements Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher education in engineering, project management, or a related technical discipline preferred Experience supporting complex hardware development or test equipment programs Familiarity with customer‑specific risk and issue tracking systems, including Boeing Opportunity Risk and Issue System (BORIS) Background in Project Planning & Control (PP&C), Earned Value concepts, or IPT coordination Experience with configuration management or certification documentation Work Conditions Work Model: Onsite at customer facility Travel: None or minimal based on program needs Work Hours: Typically Monday–Thursday, 10‑hour shifts; occasional overtime/weekend work may be required Why nLogic At nLogic, we support mission‑focused defense and space efforts that have real‑world impact.
