About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years, must have orthopedic experience. License: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submission. Certifications: BCLS, ACLS preferred, NIHSS preferred. Must-Have: - Must have orthopedic work experience. - Must have experience using the Epic charting system. - Must be open to floating to other units as necessary. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could lead to cancellation and DNR. The unit will accept contracts of 20 or more weeks up to February 27, 2027. This is to accommodate staffing needs through the holidays. Local candidates will be accepted at the regular rate for the holidays. The expected patient ratios are 5-6:1, flexing up to 7:1 only in extreme cases. Nurses are required to float to any other med-surg unit based on staffing needs and census. Every other weekend coverage is required. If a nurse calls out on a weekend, they will be required to make up that time on a weekend. The patient population includes orthopedic, neuro spine, med-surg, and post-surgical patients. Nurses must manage pain effectively for orthopedic and spine patients. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty. Patients who test positive for Covid are no longer cohorted and are treated throughout the facility. Nurses must be very customer service oriented, given the high post-surgical and orthopedic population.
