Position Summary: Leads and/or participates in the design, development, and implementation of complex system engineering activities involving cross‑functional technical support, systems programming and data centre capabilities. Responsible for components of highly complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. Establishes input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, coordination of subsystems design, and integration of total system. Viewed as a technology subject matter expert; able to provide and communicate complex technology solutions across differing audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and/or vendors. Will have responsibility for multiple, complex projects; will direct activities of teams related to special initiatives or operations. Leads the resolution process for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in‑depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgement within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Key Responsibilities: Supports for end‑to‑end infrastructure technology projects for coordinating the requirements, design of servers, network and storage for Bank of America projects Role has matrix execution responsibility across technology organizations, CIO teams as well as LOB Manages multiple projects or a single complex project Partners with Program and Project Managers and SMEs to create business requirements for technology solutions. Assists with technology estimates, manages low to moderate complexity technology solutions for projects to a full‑scale deployment in a live environment Use the right questions and tools to uncover root causes to business challenges, identify opportunities, and make recommendations Look to simplify and standardise application stack and remove developer customisation Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of Enterprise level architecture/design experience (cloud, hybrid). Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Extensive experience in some or all of Distributed Operating Systems, Databases, Middleware, Mainframe and Data Networks Experience of large scale complex projects Desired Qualifications: AI‑assisted development and prompt engineering experience Excellent written and oral communication skills and relationship building skills Experience providing end to end design guidance and oversight for large scale initiatives Ability to lead a team through technical challenges both tactically and strategically Experience translating product roadmaps and key technical strategies and direction Technical aptitude - has the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, applications A self‑motivated, hands‑on, driven individual Job Description: This job is responsible for defining an architectural vision and solution aligned to the enterprise architecture strategy, technology, and platform choices. Key responsibilities include describing the solution intent/associated operating environment, evaluating system impacts, determining the primary systems/sub‑systems and their interfaces, and assisting with end‑to‑end solution design. Job expectations include defining non‑functional requirements/architectural runway to support new epics/features and ensuring solutions are fit for purpose by working with stakeholders and service providers.
