Our organization is actively looking for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Ophthalmologist to become part of our collaborative and expanding eye care team in McHenry and Algonquin, Illinois.

Opportunity Overview:

Salary Range: $425,000 - $500,000

• Full-Time Role

• Shared office call (weekly rotation with another Ophthalmologist)

Our comprehensive ophthalmology practice includes:

• Cataract surgeries
• Goniotomy procedures
• Premium lens implants
• Laser treatments
• Minor surgical procedures in-office

Procedures & Capabilities:

• Laser treatments
• YAG Capsulotomy
• Laser Peripheral Iridotomy (LPI)
• Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT)
• Chalazion removal
• Lid lesion excision
• Steroid injections
• Foreign body removal
• Punctal plug insertion

Mercyhealth Hospital and Medical Center-Crystal Lake

This full-service hospital provides advanced surgical suites, extensive specialty support, and a robust referral network throughout McHenry County and neighboring areas.

Required Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
• Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Illinois
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $425,000 - $500,000
