Mental Health Technician

Responsibilities Provide continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to adolescent patients as part of the treatment team. Assist with milieu management and facilitate group activities. Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Develop de-escalation skills, build rapport, and engage in problem-solving to support patient recovery. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; degree in social work, recreational therapy, or a related therapeutic discipline preferred. Two (2) years of related experience with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques. Successful completion of CPR, 1st Aid, Handle with Care, and Verbal De-escalation Certification. Availability to work overtime and flexible hours as required. Location Kirkland: 157‑bed, standalone psychiatric hospital providing specialized treatment for mental health and co‑occurring disorders for adults and adolescents.
