Shop Technician

Job TitleEssential Duties ResponsibilitiesFollowing blueprints, building plans, and sketches to understand project requirementsAccurately measuring and cutting metal, wood, plastic, and other materials to size using a variety of tools.Constructing and assembling structural elementsProficiently using a range of hand tools (like levels and squares) and power tools (such as saws and drills), grinders, and torchesApplies protective coatings and paints to large structures, equipment, ensuring their durability and protection from corrosion and environmental damageResponsible for thoroughly understanding and communicating client requirements and project risks to appropriate team members and managing all requirements to ensure client expectations are met.Establish ownership of project tasks, ensure that team members have the skills and tools necessary to complete assigned tasks, and provide timely feedback to team members.Assess project issues and identify solutions to ensure project is delivered on-time and within budget while meeting client and regulatory requirements.Requires ongoing coordination, communication and/or team problem solving between departments or functional areas and clients for work production or service quality.This position requires regular contact with employees in multiple internal departments and may require contact with client employees.Education ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED required.Experience in mechanical fabrication and a manufacturing environment to execute a variety of roles such as pipe assembly and material handlingPrior experience painting preferred (epoxy and spray gun experience)Knowledge of welding and blueprint reading are a nice to haveExperience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Salary: $20-25/HR Depending On ExperiencePhysical Travel RequirementsIncumbents will constantly utilize written and verbal communication skills including active listening and speaking and reach and grasp objects.Incumbents will regularly experience periods of prolonged sitting, standing, walking, travel/drive a vehicle, and lift objects up to 50 lbsWhy Campos Fabrication?Campos Fabrication (CFAB), a subsidiary of Campos was founded in 2021 in Denver, Colorado by Marco Campos and Matt Campano to bring better fabrication solutions to the utility, power, and oil and gas sectors.
